On May 20, 2025 the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC) referred a matter involving Matthew Aggerholm to the Ontario Physiotherapy Discipline Tribunal (OPDT) for a hearing.  

Finding

The hearing took place on April 27, 28, 29 and May 1, 2026. The panel of the Discipline Committee issued a decision on the finding on July 14, 2026.
 
After having considered all of the evidence, the panel found Mathew Aggerholm to have committed the following acts of professional misconduct:

• paragraph 1 (failing to maintain the standards of practice of the profession);
• paragraph 7 (performing a professional service for which consent is required by law without such consent);
• paragraph 18 (engaging in conduct or performing an act relevant to the practice of the profession that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional); and
• paragraph 21 (representing qualifications in a manner that is false, misleading or deceptive).

When the hearing is completed, a summary of the panel's decision will be posted on the Public Register and the decision will be made available on CanLII (www.canlii.org).
