SCERP

On March 18, 2025, the ICRC identified concerns with Inayathullah Samiyullah’s practice in the areas of draping, sensitive touch, professional boundaries, patient communication and informed consent, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and clinical analysis, record keeping and professional ethics. Inayathullah Samiyullah is required to address these concerns by completing a Specified Continuing Education or Remediation Program (SCERP), which will include a review of relevant professional practice standards and resources, followed by completing a professional boundaries course and a program of practice enhancement coaching.

A SCERP is ordered by the ICRC when it has identified concerns regarding a physiotherapist’s practice or conduct that require remediation. A SCERP is an educational approach and it is not a finding of wrongdoing nor is it disciplinary in nature.
Since 2017, as required by law, the College has been posting information about SCERPs on the public register.
