On August 22, 2024, the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC) identified concerns with Fenil Chauhan’s practice in the areas of patient communication, collaborative care, consent and record keeping (including documenting the use of a physiotherapist assistant and including the name of the physiotherapist assistant on invoices). In this case the ICRC asked the registrant to improve their understanding of these areas by completing a review of relevant standards and resources, and participating in practice enhancement coaching. Fenil Chauhan volunteered to do these activities.

Since 2017, as required by law, the College has been posting Undertakings on the public register. An Undertaking is a commitment by the physiotherapist to the College to address certain areas of practice highlighted as areas for ongoing learning in a decision by the ICRC. It is not a finding of wrongdoing, professional misconduct or incompetence and is not disciplinary in nature. Undertakings are removed from the register when they have been completed.
